High Gain Periodic 2-D Leaky-Wave Antenna With Backward Radiation for Millimeter-Wave Band

چکیده

A two-dimensional (2D) periodic leaky-wave antenna (LWA) is proposed in this article. Using dielectric-filled wedge-like waveguide as medium for wave propagation, the quasi-TEM inside guide leaked through rings of narrow slots, resulting high gain frequency-dependent beam. Due to nature antenna, along with slots distribution, radiation has low side lobe level (SLL) without need extend length case one-dimensional (1D) LWA. The measured 20.34 dBi SLL less than -13 dB and cross-polarization -28 dB. millimeter-wave (mm-Wave) applications.
